History

The Royal Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves is the Christian centre and spiritual heart of the island of La Palma, a place of pilgrimage and reunion for all the people of La Palma over the centuries, under the protection of the Patron Saint of La Palma.
For more than five centuries of history it has been the Mansion of the Virgin, guarding within its walls the sacred and cultural heritage of the island, the result of the filial offerings of love to the Mother of all the people of La Palma.
